Now through March 16 - Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University - Hackerman Map Collection - From colonial impressions of the Chesapeake Bay to detailed city plans for guiding Baltimore’s rapid expansion, the exhibition features over 30 stunning and historically significant maps of Maryland and related rare prints and books.

Sun 1/20 - MAARC Winterfest at the National Electronics Museum in Linthicum - The Mid Atlantic Antique Radio Club holds it’s annual WinterFest swap meet at the electronics museum every year. It’s an all-indoor swap meet with an auction open to all vintage electronics sellers.

Tonight - MAKE IT: Watercolor and Ink Workshop - Start the new year with some visual self-care and paint your happy place! - Lindsay, of LBo Craft, will help you paint a scene filled with a few of your favorite things to get you energized for 2019!

Art Farm now has open studio space that you can rent!... by the day or the month! And it’s too late to get in on the full 8 week winter semester, but there are drop-in options available for things like sketchbooking, children’s art classes, nature inspired arts and crafts for kids as well as cartooning.

Sat 1/19 - Onion Basket Workshop - An expert basket maker will show you how to create your own onion basket. Basket supplies are provided but bring a lunch and there’s a few other things they recommend that you bring, so check the website for the list.

Sat 1/19 - “Where’s the Bear?” - A full moon strole, campfire and touch station. - Find out where animals go in the winter, see what animals might be out on a winter evening during a short walk, then warm up by the fire and learn more. Be sure to dress warm and warm beverages are provided.

Sun 1/20 - A special event: Lunar Eclipse Campfire - Enjoy the total lunar eclipse and a nice toasty campfire with telescopes and astronomers on hand to inform you. This will be the last lunar eclipse until 2022. Dress warm for this one too.

Today - Mountain Road - 3D Pens - Creating 3 dimensional items with pens that are similar to 3D printers, but you control them manually to doodle in the air

Tomorrow/Fri - Discovers: Library at the Mall - A Long Winter’s Nap - Many animals hibernate for the winter. Kids will read some stories and do activities to learn why the animals take this long nap.

Sat - both Eastport-Annapolis Neck as well as Odenton - Build & Play days, building things with Legos!

Sat 1/19 - Vitreous Enamel - torch fired enameling - Students will make projects on copper by torch firing enamel, working on torch skills and finishing techniques. The class is intensive, so be prepared to focus and work hard.

Tomorrow/Fri - Game On! - Analog game night! - there’s been a resurgence in tabletop and family gaming and we thought it would be fun to hang out and play some games together We’ll bring some of our favorite board and card games, but feel free to bring your own family friendly games as well. It’s a great way to try out new games before you buy them.

Mondays are official Woodworking night - If you want to get into woodworking or want to pick someone’s brain on a project you’re working on, drop by on Mondays to meet other local woodworkers.
